Emily Bayuk initially presented the idea of a bullet journal-inspired book to spark the interest of young girls in STEM as a proposal for her high school's scholarship competition. Her idea submission was reviewed by a panel of judges, and she was selected as one of the top five finalists, who then had to physically create their proposed projects.
Two years after the competition, Bayuk presented The Fundamentals of Circuits Made Easy to her Bucknell professors, who encouraged her to self-publish her work through Amazon.
Now, she is working to turn this book into a series to get young women involved in STEM: Inside Electronics. Bayuk is currently in the process of creating a book about signals, as well as a book about optoelectronics.
